Lessons From The Laundry

There is a lot we can learn from laundry. It's reliable and consistent. I came across this little quote from an unknown source:

"I wish more people were as reliable as Laundry is:

Happy, sad, tired or sick: it's there.

Whether you have your life together,

or whether it is falling apart:

Laundry is always there.

Always!

Be like laundry!

(Anonymous/if you know the author let me know)

But there must be more we can learn: Socks are always getting lost and deserting each so don't be like socks: Be like trousers!

Lessons From The Laundry

Socks it would seem are solitary souls,
Forced into couplets but as the bell tolls,
The death of another,
A sister or brother,
Socks it would seem despise one another.

Shoes upon the other hand,
Enjoy being paired and get along grand.
But every so often,
When one goes amiss,
The other sits waiting its unial bliss.

Gloves are another mysterious pairing,
I never can tell quite which pair I am wearing.
Somehow, however,
Two rights make a wrong,
So this happy union never lasts long.

Betrothed to each and wedded we find,
Trousers are truly one of a kind.
Each trouser united,
Till death do them part,
Trousers are truly one flesh, from the start.
