As The Sun Rises

As the sun rises with the morning,

So my thoughts are of you.

And as the sun sets each evening,

So I rest with you.

I breath your name,

Whispering with every breath
Its sweetest syllables.

Like water quenching my thirst,

So are my thoughts of you to me.

But if my thoughts were enough,

I would never be without you.

If my thoughts were enough,

You would never be without me.

Rise with me,

Like the sun.

Set with me and sit with me

In the light of the moon.

Breathe my breath,

And let me breathe yours.

Like water, quench my thirst…

If my thoughts were enough.

I think of you with a longing,

With an aching.

As if by thinking I could be closer.

Do you know when I am thinking?

It feels like you should,

like you might.

I feel your presence with me,

Even when you are afar.

As if, by some means unknown,

we are still together.

Like the beat of my heart,

Matches the rhythm of your own.

Like the song of my spirit

Cries out into the unknown,

And in return the sweet melody of your own

Replies.

A known unknown;

A deep where our hearts collide

And rest until

The time comes again

When:

As the spring meets the summer,

Just as the waters meet the sea,

We touch and embrace,

For a moment of eternity,

A forever in that moment,

The known unknown,

The deep.

I am with you.
